Symbolism
Dark blue and gold are the colors traditionally associated with the United States Navy. The gold anchor chain symbolizes the interconnectivity of Navy Region Southeast. A white compass rose symbolizes keeping the sailor on course at sea, during training and maintenance ashore, and in daily life. The gold portion of the rose directly alludes to the Southeast Region. The three-pronged trident historically symbolizes supremacy at sea. The trident also represents command ashore, and the shields colors of red, white and blue denote the patriotism of the men and women at the core of the Region. The motto, ENGAGE ENABLE SUSTAIN, reflects the mission of Navy Region Southeast.
